PATIENT EDUCATION

PREPARE: ​

We recommend our clients do not work out 24 hours prior to the procedure. Avoid alcohol or caffeine at least 48 hours prior to your procedure. Avoid sun and tanning at least one week prior for optimum results. Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, or Advil, ibuprofen at least 48 hours before the procedure.  Please inform the specialist if you are taking any blood thinners. Discontinue retinol at least 2-4 weeks prior. Discontinue use of eyebrow products 2 weeks prior to your procedure. Procedures such as Botox and fillers on the forehead or temporal or eye area should be avoided at least one month prior. Also no botox, tinting, threading at least one week before to allow natural hair growth. And finally avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or advanced facials 2-4 weeks prior to your procedure. 

BEFORE:

Before we begin, we will have an initial consultation with the client to discuss expectations, history, medications, sensitivity, and pre/post care instructions. After initial consent forms, we will begin the procedure. Please note we use a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. Please let your technician know during the consultation of any allergies and medications that may interfere or react with the anesthetic. 

DURING:

Once the procedure begins, the client will relax and eagerly wait for their new eyebrow look to be completed. Rest assured you are in the hands of our specialists who are highly trained and experienced with application of the semi permanent makeup techniques. 

AFTER:

Post care is very essential after your treatment.  Keep the eyebrow area clean using only natural fragrance cleansers and water. Avoid excessive touching or rubbing.  allow the eyebrows to be completely dry before applying any ointment.  We recommend using a Q-tip for application. Do not rub or pick or scratch the treated area! Avoid going to the pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers, hot bath for three weeks. Completely avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for a minimum of 4 weeks. Direct sunlight can cause damage to the pigment and may also change color while it's healing. We want to avoid any hyperpigmentation or scarring during the healing process. Try to avoid sweating for a full 10 days. No makeup or skin care products for at least 2 weeks over the treated area. No facials, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for at least 4 weeks.  No botox for 4 weeks. Avoid retinol for 2-4 weeks after the procedure to allow healing of the brows. 

Please note: Eyebrows will appear bolder and darker due to the natural healing process duration in the first 2-3 weeks. This is normal and once healed will achieve its most natural finished look.
